Do you know that you can lessen the frequency of allergy attacks by calming yourself in stressful situations? Prevention.com reported that a research published in Annals of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology reveals that the more stressed an employee gets, the worse are his allergy flare-ups. The researchers also observed that there is a link between negative moods and allergy symptoms, although the hormone connected to stress, cortisol, showed no direct effect.

Amber Patterson, author of the study and allergist, shares that there is indeed a link between neurology and immunology. “What we ultimately found is that some people with allergies have a more sensitive neuro-immunologic trigger,” she explains. Each day an individual walks on thin ice, allergy attacks worsen.

That's why it's important that you don't let stress take control of your life. Make time for quick breaks to recharge yourself, and make it a point to unwind every day after a long days' work.
