Most of us turn to junk food when we're in dire need of an instant pick-me-up, but we all know that greasy, deep fried, sugar- and salt-laden munchies aren’t exactly good for us. So what's a girl to do?
Don't fret! You can opt for an easier and healthier alternative by preparing “junk food” at home. Check out these tips:
1. Instead of going for french fries, oven roast sweet potatoes drizzled with olive oil and herbs.
2. For burgers, use low-fat beef or free-range chicken. Layer a moderately sized patty with organic lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumber for added nutrition.
3. Go for whole grain bread, which packs in more fiber and nutrients.
