Actress Sarah Lahbati, who left for Switzerland earlier this year after an altercation with her home network GMA-7, has returned to the Philippines.

According to a report on the July 12 episode of the GMA-7 morning show Unang Hirit, the young actress had arrived at 11:30 P.M. on July 11 with her boyfriend, Richard Gutierrez. She did not talk to the members of the media who were at the airport upon her arrival. However, she did confirm that she will be facing the libel case that GMA Films President Annette Gozon-Abrogar has filed against her for the allegedly malicious statements that Sarah posted on her Twitter account before she left.

“Yes, of course, that’s why I’m here,” she was quoted as saying in a report on PEP.ph.

Sarah revealed that she was unhappy with the way she was managed by GMA Artist Center (GMAAC) through a series of tweets she had posted on January 2. She then signed a co-management contract with Annabelle Rama, only to leave for Switzerland with her mother on January 13.

According to GMAAC, the actress’ abrupt departure, as well as her refusal to fulfill a number of her commitments, goes against the terms of her contract with the network, which is effective until January 2015.
