Richard Gutierrez has assured the media that his girlfriend, actress Sarah Lahbati, is planning to go back to the Philippines in the near future.

Sarah fled to Switzerland early this year after a fallout with the executives of her home network, GMA-7. She was recently sued for libel by GMA Films President Annette Gozon-Abrogar, and there is currently a warrant of arrest, only enforceable in the Philippine territory, against her.

“Sarah is doing well and she will come back soon,” Richard was quoted as saying in an article on PEP.ph. “Haharapin niyang lahat ang mga intriga. So, abangan n'yo na lang kung kailan siya babalik (She will face all the intrigues. So just wait until she gets back.). But I guarantee, she will come back soon. And she will answer all the questions for you guys.”

Richard, who is planning to take a break from showbiz for a few months, also said that he is considering going back to school.

“I’m gonna take a break and see kung saan ko talaga gustong mag-aral (I’m gonna take a break and see where I want to study),” he had said, adding that he has thought of studying in Switzerland to be with Sarah. “Tingnan natin, tingnan natin (Let’s see, let’s see.).”
