GMA-7, the home network of actress Sarah Lahbati, has filed a civil case against the young star for failing to comply with her obligations to the network as specified in her contract on January 11, PEP.ph reports.

This new lawsuit came just a day after GMA Films President Annette Gozon-Abrogar sued Sarah for libel because of her statements against the network’s management, which she posted on the social networking site Twitter.

GMA-7 is demanding P7 million in liquidated damages from Sarah for her “failure and refusal to comply with her [Sarah] obligations and undertakings under the Management Contract she had signed up with GMA-7 and appearances in her program assignments despite notice and advice.” The complaint also said that the “continuous dishonor and flagrant violations of her obligations to perform her role as an artist in GMA-7’s TV programs is highly detrimental to the entertainment TV block of GMA-7; thus, requiring Lahbati to immediately discharge her contractual obligations with GMA-7.”

The network also stated Sarah’s “formal notice to take a leave of absence for one (1) month from the network without prior agreement or approval of GMA-7” as another basis of their lawsuit.
