In a morning press briefing held on Monday, January 13, PHIVOLCS director Dr. Rene Solidum reported that while Taal Volcano's activity has lessened, Alert Level 4 remains due to continued tectonic quakes.

Ibigsabihin, magma na talaga 'yong lumalabas this morning.

The director added that there's no time frame as to when the volcanic activity will end.

He also reiterated that Alert Level 1 has been up in the area of the volcano since 2019.

When asked about whether there have already been volcanic tsunamis, the director said, "Wala naman. So wala pang umaabot sa gan'on."
