Many people travel to de-stress, and with good reason. After all, there’s nothing like the thrill of exploring a new place to get your mind off the hustle and bustle of everyday life. However, as wonderful as soaking in a sweet-smelling bubble bath after a long day out may sound, not all of us can get five-star pampering packages all the time, especially if you’re one of the many budget-conscious travelers out there.

If you’re in dire need of some de-stressing while out and about, you might want to test these easy and sneaky ways to unwind while on vacation. Try them out to experience the most relaxing getaway you’ll ever have!

1. SPEND A DAY WITHOUT YOUR GADGETS.
Our smartphones, tablets, and pricey cameras have become so integral to our lives that it has become practically impossible to function without them. The next time you go out of town, why don’t you try leaving your gadgets in your hotel room’s safe for one day to really experience everything your destination has to offer? Don’t let the fear of missing out (or the fear of not being able to post photos of the amazing sights you see on Instagram) plague you, and let your senses do the documenting for you for one day.

2. START YOUR DAY WITH SOME YOGA.
Jetting off to different time zones can be extremely stressful. Prep yourself for a long and tiring day by making time for a quick yoga session in the morning. Start off with some Sun Salutations, followed by basic poses like the Mountain, the Warrior, and the Eagle. You’re bound to feel remarkably better in no time!

3. GO FOR A WALK AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD.
Heading outside for a leisurely walk is an easy and healthy way to de-stress and to see things more clearly. You can explore your new surroundings while taking in your daily dose of Vitamin E before eating your breakfast, or you can lace up your walking shoes after dinner to marvel at the magnificent city lights.

4. TREAT YOURSELF TO A FAMOUS LOCAL TREAT.
Don’t hesitate to treat yourself to some luxurious food when you’re feeling extra blue! Get an extra scoop of gelato when you’re in Italy, buy some macarons for yourself when you’re touring France, or get a box of delectable chocolates after a day out at the Swiss Alps. Stop fretting about your diet or the money you could’ve saved. Trust us, you totally deserve to indulge (besides, you probably won’t get to taste such authentic versions of these desserts back home!)!

5. CHECK OUT THE LOCAL FLORA AND FAUNA BY HEADING TO THE PARKS.
Nothing can drive stress away quite like spending a day reconnecting with Mother Nature. Instead of going to the malls, head to a nearby park or reservation and marvel at the local flora and fauna. Bask in the place’s peacefulness, and let the fresh, smog-free air do your body good. Once you’ve seen how wonderful an uncomplicated life can be, you’ll never want to return to the busy city!
