There are many reasons why you should begin taking vitamins, but with so many of them at your disposal, how do you know which ones you really need and how they they’re different from one another? Here, we list down five vitamins that every working girl needs, stat!
1. Vitamin A
These days, bawal magkasakit! For one, it’s bound to put a dent in your savings. For another, it’s not like you’re 100 percent healthy to begin with (we know you’ve been eating fast food). And let’s not forget the amount of work you have to catch up on when you miss a day at the office! Living inside a bubble is not an option, so we suggest the next best thing instead: boost your immune system and immune response. Harvard reports that "Vitamin A deficiency is associated with impaired immunity and increased risk of infectious disease." We’re not saying you should pump yourself full of vitamin A—just take care not to fall behind on your minimum requirement.

2. Vitamin D
Much has been said about the wonders of vitamin D—it's good for the skin, it regulates your calcium and phosphorus intake, and it is also an immune system regulator—but one of the reasons you need it now more than ever is because it is known to cut breast cancer risk by as much as 50 percent. Now before you tell us that the risk of breast cancer in your family is nil, keep in mind that it was only two years ago when the Philippine Society of Medical Oncology, as reported in The Inquirer, declared breast cancer as the most prevalent form of cancer in the entire country. Even with the absence of Angelina Jolie's BRCA1 gene, we doubt you'd want to take your chances!
Foods rich in vitamin D: Oysters, salami, caviar, fortified cereals
3. Vitamin B Complex
Now that a new quarter is about to begin, you might find yourself spending more time at the office, which, if you’re not careful, may compromise your health. Fortunately, there are some vitamins you can take to survive another workweek unscathed, especially if you feel like your boss has been riding you particularly hard as of late. According to Live Strong, taking vitamin B complex helps you maintain a healthy nervous system under extreme pressure. In fact, these B vitamins are said to "improve symptoms of irritability, stress and fatigue."

4. Vitamin C
Another vitamin that you might find extremely useful at work is vitamin C. According to WebMD, this may help you increase your concentration. Think more streamlined reports, updated statistics, and overall, a better performance. Vitamin C may help turn you into a better and more productive worker bee. Before long, your name could very well be among those associated with the words "climbing up the corporate ladder."
Foods rich in vitamin C: Citrus fruits, berries, broccoli, peppers
5. Vitamin E
Vitamin E has the power to make you look and feel younger inside and out. It takes care of those nasty free radicals, which cause oxidative reactions that may lead to diseases such as cancer, arthritis, and cataracts and may cause skin to wrinkle, sag and spot, reports Yahoo. With vitamin E, however, you're able to age more gracefully.
