Even though we all know we should make time to exercise regularly, we often find ourselves making excuses not to go to the gym. Often, we overstuff our schedules, but sometimes we skip gym time because it bores us. Instead of the usual cardio classes and treadmill routines, however, you may want to try something new this 2012. At Beyond Yoga, a new kind of fitness regimen is quickly gaining a following. Teaming up with AntiGravity Yoga’s Christopher Harrison, Beyond Yoga is now offering classes that, well, defy gravity.

As its name suggests, AntiGravity Yoga involves doing yoga while suspended on a silk hammock. It’s not more than a few inches off the ground, so you don’t have to worry too much if you have a fear of heights, and it may seem a bit complicated at first, some people actually find AntiGravity Yoga easier than regular yoga.

To learn more about the benefits of AntiGravity Yoga, click through the slide show below for a preview of what the exercises look like, plus five more reasons why you may want to give it a go.

Beyond Yoga can be found at the 3rd floor of Il Terrazzo, Tomas Morato corner Scout Madrinian St., Quezon City. Visit www.igobeyondyoga.com or call +63-917-5BEYOND (5239663) for more information.
