TV host Luis Manzano confessed that he was ready to settle down in an interview with PEP.ph on February 19. "I'm not getting any younger. And siguro, yes!" he is quoted as saying. "When everything has been said and done, siguro it's safe to say I have lived my life and there's always a new chapter waiting to be explored."
When PEP.ph asked him if he believed Jennylyn Mercado would be the woman he would end up with, he said, "I'm very, very happy, and it's only a matter of time. Time can prove me right. Time can prove me wrong. But hopefully. At the end of the day, kung sino man ang mamahalin talaga ng puso ko nang buong-buo, na ihaharap ko talaga sa Diyos at sa pamilya ko, long way to go. (At the end of the day, there's still a long way to go before I'm able to take whoever I love with all my heart in front of God and my family.)"
He added that he wanted to consider Jennylyn's own situation. "She [Jennylyn] has a family too, kaya ayoko namang biglain na, 'Yes, pakakasalan kita!' (She has a family too, so I don't want to surprise her and go, 'Yes, I want to marry you!')"
In the meantime, he and Jennylyn continue to enjoy their relationship. They spent Valentine's Day diving in Batangas. "It was something very intimate. Nasabi nga namin, ayaw naming maipit sa mga traffic, 'yong usual na day. (We said before that we don't want to get stuck in traffic, which is what happens on a usual day.) So this time, we spent it underwater."
