Shortly after the passing of Kim Chiu’s mom, Louella Yap Chiu, on June 23, the actress posted a couple of messages on her Twitter account accusing an entertainment blog of publishing false stories about her and her family.

“i dont get the point on why this blog site always "MAKE-UP [sic] STORIES"??? just for the sake of his followers. #respetonamansana,” she had tweeted.

“gets [sic] your facts straight! you dont know anything,, #respetonamanpo,” she added.

Though she did not name a specific blogger, ABS-CBNNews.com reports that the cause of Kim’s rant was believed to be a letter published on the showbiz gossip site FashionPulis.com. In the letter, a certain “Micki” revealed that a popular actress, who was supposed to be mourning the untimely death of a relative, had reportedly shunned said loved one through the years.

The blog later posted screencaps of Kim’s twitter posts, as well as a screencap of the original letter that “Micki” sent.

Maja Salvador, who used to be one of Kim’s closest friends until it was revealed that she is dating Kim’s ex-boyfriend Gerald Anderson, also posted a similar plea on her Twitter account. However, she did not mention any names, making it unclear if she was indeed referring to Kim.

"You don't know her... You just know her name... #PleaseDon'tJudge #PleaseRESPECT," she had tweeted.
