Gerald Anderson has finally admitted that he and Maja Salvador are officially a couple.

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that the actor, who has been evading the topic for the longest time, was quoted as saying “Yes, I’m in love with Maja Salvador” and “Yes, she’s my girlfriend” in a teaser for StarStudio’s June 2013 issue posted on the magazine’s official Facebook page.

People have been speculating about the real score of their relationship since they were seen together in Misibis Bay late last year. Their budding romance became controversial when actress Kim Chiu, who is Gerald’s ex-girlfriend, remarked earlier this year that she felt that her tight friendship with Maja was wasted because of their affair.

Despite this, the couple still continued to spend time with each other, with Gerald executing one grand gesture after another for his real-life leading lady. On May 5, Gerald surprised Maja as she celebrated her 10th year in show business on the set of ASAP 18 by giving her a huge bouquet of roses.

“Thank you,” Maja had told Gerald. “Thank you dumating ka sa buhay ko (Thank you for entering my life.).”
