KC Concepcion shared her thoughts on putting Metro Manila under community quarantine due to the threat of COVID-19. This was based on a resolution approved by President Rodrigo Duterte on March 12, 2020, submitted by an inter-department task force formed to combat the virus.

KC posted a series of videos on Instagram Stories for those who, like her, live alone.

"For now, gusto ko lang i-share na kung kayo ay katulad ko na mag-isa sa bahay at walang kasama sa bahay, or hindi na nakatira sa parents niyo, or single kayo, wala kayong asawa, at wala sa tabi niyo ang boyfriend niyo, or wala kayong boyfriend or girlfriend... ako din, mag-isa lang ako dito." She said, noting how thankful she was for modern technology which made it possible to speak with loved ones.

"Na-touch talaga ako kanina dahil meron kaming group chat ng mga titos and titas ko sa mother side, na alam nila na mag-isa lang ako and they would tell me na, 'Basta alam mo na nandito lang kami.'"

While used to being independent, KC shared that it's during times like this that she would herself if it were better to be with someone.

"Home away from home. Nasanay na akong tumira mag-isa since 18 [years old] ako, since nag-college ako.

"I know na maraming tao dito, who are like me, na napaka-independiyente at nagawa naman. Pero siyempre, sa mga panahon katulad ngayon, na ganito, 'yon lang...

"Kung okay rin mag-isa o kung, 'di ba, mas maganda may kasama, para may nag-aalaga naman sa 'yo at meron ka ring kausap. Pero thank God talaga na may mga video calls na ngayon, may text, 'di ba?" She said. "At least ngayon nalilibang ang mga sarili natin and may mga ways to entertain ourselves."

KC is currently in the Philippines, fresh from Boracay where she attended the wedding of Jay-R at Mica Javier.

The actress studied in the American University of Paris in France, where she finished International Corporate Communications, with a minor in Theatre Arts in 2007.

KC: "What is life?"

Part of KC's message for those who live alone is to turn solitude in an opportunity for self-care and reflection.

"I encourage those like me, who live alone, to take this time to, one, self-quarantine, so that you can just check ourselves for the next 14 days to see if clear kayo, if may na-fee-feel kayo. My doctor told me don't go to hospitals unnecessarily, because more than 90 percent of those infected recover."

KC remindsed everyone, however, to make sure to consult with a doctor if symptoms are felt.

"Just take this time to just pray and think about life. What is life na ba ito?" she laughed. "Maybe it's good for us to think about what really matters in life.

"Walang perfect, like what I've said before, pero sana maipakita natin sa isa't isa ang pagmamahal natin.

"My way of showing that I care is letting you guys know you're not alone. Actually, gusto ko ngayon sabihin sa sarili ko, 'You're not alone.'"
