Actor John Lloyd Cruz is currently shooting a movie with Imortal co-actor Angel Locsin called Unofficially Yours, but in an interview with PEP.ph, he revealed that a teleserye with actress Bea Alonzo might also be in the works. The two actors used to be love team partners. Besides starring in teleseryes, they also made several movies together. One of them was One More Chance, which earned them the Box-Office King and Box-Office Queen titles at the Guillermo Mendoza Entertainment Awards in 2007.
"Totoong may ganung balita (The news is true)," he is quoted as saying of reports going around about his return to the small screen with Bea. "Pag teleserye kasi, hindi yun ang kinukuwestiyon. Ang kuwestiyon talaga, if it will push through. (If it's a teleserye, [whether or not we're doing one doesn't need to be questioned]. The real question is whether or not it will push through.)"
John Lloyd said ideas for their project were still being considered. "As of the moment, 'yan ang huli kong narinig, pero may problema yata sa casting (That's what I last heard, but there might also be problems with casting)," he added.
The actor shared his joy over having a new teleserye. "Excited ako to work with [Bea] again. 'Tsaka ang isa pang nakaka-excite dun, 'pag nanonood ka ngayon ng teleserye sa [ABS-CBN], parang talagang ang tindi ng competition. (I'm excited to work with Bea again. And another thing that makes it exciting is that, when I watch teleseryes on ABS-CBN now, I see that competition is tough.)"
But until he gets an update on the project, John Lloyd will be busy with his other showbiz commitments. He said his movie with Angel will be released in February in time for Valentine's Day, although no date has been set yet.
