Actor John Lloyd Cruz and actress Shaina Magdayao have been the talk of the town this week after news of their alleged split-up spread through different news outlets. While neither party has admitted their relationship is over, John Lloyd previously stated things were looking bad for the two of them.

In an exclusive interview with Boy Abunda, a preview of which aired on TV Patrol and Bandila, Shaina finally broke her silence about the issue. "Para bang dahil lang siguro nasanay sila dahil hindi ako nagsasalita (Maybe because they're used to me not speaking)," she is quoted as saying on ABS-CBNNews.com. "Dahil lagi ko na lang pinipili na tumahimik, kakayan-kayanin na lang nila ako. (Because I always choose to keep quiet, they think they can just do whatever they want.)"

Both she and John Lloyd deny that actress Ruffa Gutierrez, one of John Lloyd's ex-girlfriends, caused the problems in their relationship. Ruffa revealed on Paparazzi on October 23 that Shaina had sent her "not very nice and not very kind messages."

"Wala sa kalingkingan ng kahit na sinong babae ang totoong dahilan ng pinagdadaanan namin ngayon (No girl can even come close to the real reason for what we're going through right now)," John Lloyd says.

Shaina does admit to one thing, however: she did send Ruffa a text message after Vina Morales's party on October 17. "Nag-text siya kay John Lloyd right after we left the party, and I replied," she says. "I told her to leave us alone gaya ng gusto kong sabihin sa kanya (just like I wanted to tell her)."

After the preview was aired on Bandila on October 26, Boy Abunda revealed that Shaina had just left for the US. The actress was originally scheduled to do the interview alone, he adds, but John Lloyd decided to join her to give a full picture of the story. The rest of the interview will be aired on entertainment talk show The Buzz on Sunday, October 30.

Meanwhile, Ruffa Gutierrez posted a Tweet denying Shaina's statement on October 27. "To clear the issue: I never started any texting conversation," she wrote in her post. "I challenge anyone to prove otherwise. That chapter in my life has long been over. I'm very happy with my life and my girls now. I sincerely wish both of them well."
