Actress Cristine Reyes can now add "recording artist" to her list of titles after her version of the song "Nang Dahil sa Pag-ibig" was included in the soundtrack for the teleserye Dahil sa Pag-ibig, which she also stars in, ABS-CBNNews.com reports. Fans were ecstatic when Cristine sang the song on March 18 at the launch of the album.
Piolo Pascual, one of Cristine's love interests in the teleserye, also recorded a rendition of "Sa Kanya" for the album. Among other songs included in the soundtrack are Angeline Quinto's "Maghihintay Sa'yo" and Bryan Termulo's "Pagdating ng Panahon."
In the teleserye, Cristine plays the role of Jasmin Valderama, a woman who falls in love with her adopted brother, Alfred (Piolo Pascual). The teleserye already airs on ABS-CBN during primetime. Cristine previously expressed her excitement over her role in an ABS-CBNNews.com interview. "Yung mga unang nagawa ko sa sa ABS puro old maid. Hindi ako puwedeng mag-glam o mag-ayos. Bawal ang mag-heels, so this time naman, different talaga. Beauty, glam--yun yung peg ng character ko dito, so I’m so excited dahil sa new look. (All the previous soaps I've done here on ABS had me portraying old maids. I can't be glamorous. I'm not allowed to wear heels. So this time, it's really different. Beauty, glam--these are the pegs for my character, so I'm excited because of the new look.)"
