Actor Coco Martin opened up about his feelings in the aftermath of his altercation with Matteo Guidicelli after the Star Magic Ball back in September, PEP.ph reports. The fight was over Matteo’s girlfriend, Maja Salvador.

“Para sa akin, the time na humingi siya ng sorry niya, yun na yun, e,” Coco is quoted as saying of Matteo Guidicelli. “Kasi nga, honestly, ako, nagsisisi ako. Sabi ko nga, sana hindi na humantong… Kasi before na nangyari yun, alam ko na magkaibigan kami ni Matteo. Hindi ko akalain na aabot kami sa ganoong sitwasyon. (For me, when he apologized, that was it. Because, honestly, I have my own regrets. As I’ve said, I wish things didn’t end up that way… Because before that happened, I know Matteo and I were friends.)"

Coco went on to say that he regretted how things turned out. “Nagsisi ako kung bakit kailangang humantong sa ganoong bagay. Puwede namang pag-usapan sa maayos na usapan. (I asked myself why things had to end up that way. We could have talked things through properly instead.)”

He also said that he would be willing to work with Matteo on future projects, saying he’s already forgotten the incident and moved on. Coco says that, since he saw that Matteo was sincere in his apology, he has forgiven the other actor.

But, he says, he will not be taking on any engagements for mall or road shows that involve Maja for the time being since the mall shows he did with her were what started the conflict with Matteo in the first place. “Klinaro ko yun sa Star Magic na baka this time, hindi ko muna kayang makipag-duet kay Maja (I made it clear to Star Majic that, perhaps for now, I won’t be able to do duets with Maja).”
