We know Kris Aquino and James Yap have had their problems in their marriage, especially with Boy Abunda's announcement about their marital issues last week, but now it seems enough is enough, since the TV host and actress announced that her marriage to the basketball player is over on her last episode of The Buzz tonight, June 27, as reported in this Spot.PH article. “I just want to say na whatever decision I have come to, it’s not a spur of the moment decision. Hindi ito nangyari na nagising lang ako isang araw at sinabi kong ayoko na. Matagal naming sinubukan. James and I both tried to really make this work,” was what Kris had to say on the breakup of her marriage.
The specific nature of the couple’s marital problems was not revealed, nor, says Kris, will they be.
“I know that will leave so many unanswered questions,” she said during the exclusive interview on The Buzz, “but those questions, only Baby James deserves to hear the answers to. Siguro Boy, this is part of growing up. It’s part of realizing that yes, I am public and I owe all of you an explanation, but apart from God, the only one I’m answerable to is kung di man mga kapatid ko, eh ang anak ko.”
Is this really the end of the Kris-James union? Perhaps, but then again, Kris is not exactly known for her consistency (as has been made clear by the Kris Aquino’s Despedida fiasco), and we have yet to hear what James Yap has to say about it all.
