Cupid is on the prowl again this month, but that doesn’t mean that only couples have the license to have fun. Anne Curtis, Liz Uy, and Georgina Wilson blocked the 14th of February off their calendars, as they’ve set aside the special date for themselves. “Kami ang magkaka-date (We’re each other’s dates),” stylist to the stars Liz reveals to PEP.ph during the launch of Pandora jewelry. She adds that last year, the three of them went to Hong Kong to celebrate not just Valentine’s Day, but their own birthdays as well. As luck would have it, all of their birthdays fall around V-Day, with Liz celebrating hers on the 8th, Georgina on the 12th and Anne on the 17th. A lot of people may not be aware of it, but the February festivities don’t end on the 14th. Aside from a lot of local celebrity birthdays, there’s also Singles Awareness Day, which is celebrated right after Valentine’s. A far cry from a pity party, Single’s Awareness Day puts the limelight on those who are going solo, and are not in mourning because of it. Use it as a day for self-appreciation, which is something that we shouldn’t get tired of, unattached or not. Whether alone with a group of single friends, celebrate singlehood with these five tips!
