Eighteen-year-old actor Albie Casiño revealed he’s open to taking responsibility for ex-girlfriend Andi Eigenmann’s baby girl should it be proven that he’s the father, ABS-CBNNews.com reports. Andi is due to give birth in November.
“Sure, why not?" he told TV Patrol after being asked whether or not he would have a DNA test done. "Oo, [pananagutan ko if ever]. (Yes, I'll take responsibility if ever.) I wish her all the best."
He also said he's not the kind of person who runs away from challenges in his life. “I am not really a quitter. I started it, so let me finish it."
Meanwhile, Albie's mom, Rina, says she feels hurt by the public's judgment of her son and the rest of the family. "Only God can judge us, ‘yon lang. ‘Yung other people, ‘yung malalakas magsalita na kung anu-ano ang sinasabi, hindi naman nila alam ‘yung buong story eh. (Other people who have the gall to talk about this and that, they don't really know the entire story.)"
"If ever [it’s] ours, we welcome it," she adds. "I love a baby girl; wala akong baby girl. Wala naman kaming sinasabing negative about them or anything. We just want na makapag-usap kami kasi 'di pa naman kami nag-uusap kung ano ang nangyari. (We're not saying anything negative about them or anything. We just want to talk because we haven't gotten the chance to talk about what happened yet.)"
Andi Eigenmann's pregnancy was revealed to the public in August, but she refused to talk about her baby's father. She only briefly revealed it was Albie in a blog entry in September before removing his name.
