If you want to take your career to the next level, you need to get noticed by your boss.
But with plenty of other employees aiming for the same goal, it would take more than your usual efforts to grab his attention.
According to Brian Grazer, Hollywood producer and author of the book A Curious Mind, the best way to stand out from a group is to start from a sense of curiosity. "The moment you show interest in someone in a focused way, you won't be insecure in that room," he says. Ask questions that would be for the betterment of the project or the company. Show your boss that you are interested on being the part of the solution. Using the word "we" may also be to your advantage as it helps you engage with people more easily.
