KFC Philippines, the official Philippine franchise of U.S.-based Kentucky Fried Chicken, is now opening its doors to Filipino entrepreneurs interested in being part of KFC Philippines' first batch of pioneer franchisees.
After acquiring approval to franchise in December 2019, KFC Philippines is officially starting its franchising arm. According to KFC Philippines, the company will equip all franchisees with all the necessary equipment and guidance, such as selecting the store location, promoting the store, and managing daily operations.
In essence, the franchisees will primarily become investors and franchise owners of the franchised unit as "KFC Philippines will handle the full operations of the store," said the company in a statement.

KFC opened its first store in the U.S. in 1940, and its secret "11 secret herbs and spices" recipe launched it to international fame. KFC now has 21,000 restaurants across 130 countries. The company opened its first store in the Philippines in 1966, and has since expanded to 300 stores nationwide.
