Love Story
High school lovers Lai and Nath finally decided to take the next big step in their relationship after several years of dating.
Nath proposed to Lai during on an out-of-town trip to Tagaytay with their friends. Lai shares, "We were on our way to Tagaytay for a Valentine's Day lunch with our friends. We went there on our own, and halfway through Cavite, our car broke down. We ended up choosing a low-key restaurant and before we went in, Nath pulled out a paper bag from the back seat, handed it to me, and asked me to open the box. I pulled the shoebox out of the paper bag; and upon opening the lid, I found the ring box beneath the crumpled papers. He then asked me to marry him."
And after Lai gave him her sweet 'yes', the wedding preparations began.
Wedding Preparations
High school sweethearts Lai and Nath tied the knot in a romantic ceremony at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Church in Tagaytay. The couple's grand day featured pretty details in delicate tones such as white, blush, and aqua.
For the big day, the couple prepared several DIY projects that reflected their creative personalities. Some of their projects were the invitations, boutonnieres, pillow, cords, belts, and buntings. To make sure that every detail matched their theme, the couple collaborated with their stylist and caterer.
By planning ahead and by being hands-on on with the preparations, Lai and Nath's special day turned out to be everything they wanted and more. The bride shares several tips for other soon-to-wed couples. "You both have to put your effort into your wedding and help each other along the way. Also, researching will help you decide on which suppliers to get. Lastly, stick to your budget. Pick two to three non-negotiables and apply your creativity to achieve the rest."
