Arci Munoz has been fabulously single ever since she broke up with her most recent boyfriend, businessman Anthony Ng, sometime in 2019. Before that, she was also in a longterm relationship with musician Badi Del Rosario. Being single for almost two years now, the Kapamilya actress has done so much for herself: She's hopped from country to country to catch BTS performances, visited all Disney parks in the world, and is currently training as a Philippine Air Force reservist with her BFF JM De Guzman. Yup, life is definitely looking good for Arci.
She spoke more about her choice to lead the single life in a recent media conference for her virtual drama, Love Unlock, co-starring Gerald Anderson. When asked by PEP.ph on what she's learned about herself in terms of love, the 31-year-old star jokingly said, "Hindi ako magaling diyan, e. Ginagawa ko na lahat, iniiwan pa rin ako!"
She then went on to explain how she always gave a bit too much of herself in her past relationships: "Whenever I'm in a relationship, I give it my all. Sometimes I forget about leaving a little bit of self-love. E, ayun po, sa aking mga experience before sa previous relationships ko, as in, buhos talaga, e. Parang ako yung lalaki."
Arci also revealed that this is the longest time she's gone without a boyfriend and has been spending the quarantine alone, which, ultimately, helped her know more about herself than ever before: "I learned na kailangan for you to be able to love someone else, kailangan mahal mo sarili mo. Itong journey na pinagdadaanan ko ngayon, na-appreciate ko yung maliliit na bagay and also to appreciate myself more."
"It's my choice to stay single right now," she further shared. "Kahit may nagpaparamdam before lockdown, choice ko talaga, ako muna, sarili ko muna." Things she wants to do more of while she's single? Travel by herself and spend quality time with her family.
Arci closed off the interview by saying that she's keeping a positive outlook and not giving up on love just yet: "I'm super duper happy. Pagdating ng panahon at andiyan na yung tamang tao para sa akin, ayan na, alam ko na kung paano yung tamang ibibigay ko lang sa taong iyon."
