The Department of Tourism (DOT) has recently launched #SaveOurSpots GIFs on Instagram, which you can freely add to your stories. Add the “responsible tourist” badge and a “save our spots” frame to help remind your followers of the importance of keeping popular destiations clean and pristine. And speaking of destinations, geo-tag your local travel posts with location-specific GIFs for Anilao, Baguio City, Bohol, Boracay, Coron, Donsol, La Union, Luneta, Panglao Island, Puerto Galera, Sagada, Siargao, and Vigan.
“We first rolled out this campaign by showing simple yet impactful acts towards environmentalism and patriotism, by respecting cultures and managing wastes,” says DOT Secretary Bernandette Romulo-Puyat in a release, refering to the previous “Ayoko sa plastic” Viber stickers campaign. “This time around, we are encouraging travelers to promote and preserve our local tourist spots.”
