What’s in a formulaic local horror flick? Spooky scenes, eardrum-busting shrieks from the actors, and an old bahay na bato sprinkled with cobwebs! Movies like these are to blame for giving traditional Filipino residential structures a bad name, especially for a generation who grew up with MTV.

The owners of this updated version of the old aesthetic used a lot they purchased long ago as an investment. They envisioned an airy home with Filipino accents and a large space for children to play in.
