Imagine two things that are as opposite as they could be and put them in the same house, what would you get? Well, if you have designer Vivian Gacad calling the shots, what you get is an eclectic, joyful, and inviting home, much like the homeowner herself! The 58-year-old matriarch who lives in the house with her younger daughter is fond of antique wooden figures and Coke collectibles. However, she confessed that the combination didn't look as appealing as she wanted to.

"Gusto ko parating maganda ang bahay, pero hindi ko alam kung saan mag-uumpisa (I want the house to always look beautiful, but I don't know where to start.)."

This is where Real Living stepped in with designer Vivian to help the homeowner solve this dilemma. "Gusto ko ang old things, sabi ko kay Vivian marami ako sa itaas [bedroom]. Tsaka pine-preserve ko 'yung pagiging taga-Paete [Laguna] ko. I have mga [Manny] Baldemor [artwork] (I like old things, and I told Vivian I have more upstairs [bedroom]. And I really do want to preserve my heritage from Paete [Laguna]. I have some [Manny] Baldemor [artwork])," she shares. But then there's also her massive Coke collection which started in the mid-'90s.
