Tagaytay is a favorite out-of-town destination for many citydwellers, so this picturesque property just off a cliff is a prime vacation spot. Angular and modern, the façade features lines that jut in surprising diagonals, creating an impressively contemporary structure. Though progressive in design, the house is in no way harsh—its use of earthy, natural materials gives it an organic feel that fits the environment that surrounds it.

There is a feeling of airiness and openness everywhere—the foyer opens up into the kitchen, which flows seamlessly into the main living and dining area, which in turn directs the eye to the sliding glass doors, which finally lead to a deck featuring a breathtaking view. Everything is bathed in warm sunshine and is tempered by the cool breeze that Tagaytay is known for. The space merges all that the owners wanted for the home—an unhampered view of the surroundings, natural light, and a feeling of spaciousness all around.
