A successful television executive and her family go back to basics in their inviting vacation home. Wood details, big windows, greenery and natural elements like stone and bamboo add to the charm of this gracious home nestled in the lush environment of Tagaytay, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, yet close enough for a quick getaway.

The owners chanced upon this house and bought it two years ago. “(We) saw an ad in the papers about this house and lot for sale in Tagaytay, went (to look at the house) and fell in love with it instantly,” the owners say of their serendipitous find.

Tucked away along a small road just 10 minutes from the Tagaytay rotunda, the two-storey dwelling is veiled by a rustic fence of lumber, stone, boulders, thick foliage, and wooden gates topped with a thatched roof.
