With royal blue walls and soft furnishings in white with gradations of blue, this humble mid-1980s structure easily evokes casual English charm, though the house is peppered with Pinoy furniture, like a dining set, chairs, and cabinets. The homeowner also threw some Chinese decorative vases and plates—in traditional blue and white—into the mix to match the color scheme. She scored the daybeds and almost all her furniture pieces from different thrift shops and unlikely sources: a department store fire sale back in the '80s, a junk shop, a neighbor’s unwanted pile of furniture, and even a carinderia.
