According to a feature on WebMD, sleeplessness won’t only give you puffy eyes, it can also rob your skin of its usual glow and create wrinkles. When you skip sleep, your body loses the opportunity to create new collagen, the protein which keeps your skin from sagging. Moreover, sleeplessness causes your body stress, pushing it to produce much more of the stress hormone cortisol. Too much cortisol can break down what's left of the collagen in your skin, which is why your face feels more sunken and unhealthy after continuous lack of rest.
