If you think that a hot shower will wake you up, think again. According to Entrepreneur.com, a hot shower will only make you feel even drowsier. The best way to jolt you awake: Do a mix of hot and cold. Go through your normal routine, and once you’re clean, make the shower as cold as you can stand it for 30 seconds. Then switch to hot for the same amount of time. Go back to cold for the last 30 seconds before stepping out and towelling off.

Easy, right? While this might sound almost revolutionary for someone who only takes hot showers, hot and cold hydrotherapy has actually been around for thousands of years. Now if only you can be brave enough to turn the knob to cold.
