Are you always online and connected to the virtual world? According to a new meta-analysis published in Electromagnetic Biology and Medicine, constant use of your smart phone, tablet, or laptop is making you sick.

Since all wireless devices emit low-intensity radiofrequency radiation (RFR), it is seen as the root of the problem. One of the authors of the study, Igor Yakymenko, Ph.D., explained that RFR causes oxidative stress in the body, a reaction which releases free radicals–molecules that can cause cellular damage unless they're "cleaned up" by antioxidants found in veggies and berries.

He also added that long time exposure to low-dose RFR emitted by your favorite gadget is enough to cause minor health hazards such as fatigue and headaches. Although more studies need to be done in order to prove a direct link between radiation and the potential development of cancer, it’s better to be safe and practice caution around wireless technology.
