Most people can’t go through a day without having their favorite latte drink, but consuming too much caffeine can be hazardous to your health. According to Business Insider, it can raise your blood pressure, cause insomnia, and even cause you to hear things. Yikes!

So how much is a cup too many? Experts from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) say that four to seven cups of coffee or more each day is too much. In fact, they say that people who consume caffeine every day don't even get the "good effects" of increased alertness and concentratation since their bodies are so used to it.


However, Newsweek reports that the EFSA Panel on Dietetic Products, Nutrition and Allergies suggests that it’s generally safe for the average person to consume 400 mg of caffeine each a day, while the FDA recommends a dosage of one hundred to 200 mg (one to two five-ounce cups of coffee) each day.
