Going to the gym is an action with purpose. Whether it’s part of your weekly regimen to stick to your weight-loss resolution or to prepare for a sports competition, gym time is sacred time–a time you may also consider your alone or quiet time. As such, it’s important to behave properly while doing your thing at the fitness club.

It’s all a matter of manners, really, of common sense and basic courtesy–the kind that our parents taught and the ones drilled in to us when we were kids in school. When it comes to social niceties, at least when it comes to gyms, it's true that all we really need to know we learned in kindergarten.
