Ever wondered if chowing down on Korean or Mexican food will increase your metabolism? A report published in The New York Times say that some studies have claimed that certain spices can in fact increase metabolic rate by raising body temperature. The real deal, though? The effect is only minor and temporary with no definite information on how long it would last.  Still, spices do have a number of health benefits.
