Here’s a good tip to avoid binge eating throughout the day: eat a high-protein breakfast, reports Science Daily.
Biofortis Clinical Research principal investigator Kevin C. Maki and his team analyzed the appetite levels of a group of women who ate either a regular breakfast meal or a protein-rich meal. They found that those who ate high-protein breakfasts felt fuller and were less likely to eat additional calories during lunch as compared with the others who had regular breakfast bowls.
“Eating a breakfast rich in protein significantly improves appetite control and may help women to avoid overeating later in the day,” Kevin explains.
So if you want to do away with eating too much through the afternoon and the evening, skip the pancakes and go for egg-centric meals. Eat a healthy breakfast with a good amount of protein.
