February 15 is more than just the day after Valentine’s. For a lot of people, it’s Singles Awareness Day, a time where fab singles everywhere can go out and revel in their freedom from romantic entanglements. And while you may say that there are 364 other days where you can do just that, it certainly is a lot of fun to know that there is one day set aside to celebrate just how wonderful being single can be.

It takes a confident woman to be completely at ease about being unattached. And singlehood does have it perks: you have all of your free time for yourself, you can watch all the sappy movies you like without anyone complaining, and you can flirt up a storm without worry. What isn’t there to celebrate about romantic independence?
