Watsons, the leading health and beauty retailer, partnered with Female Network and Women's Health to give Pinays a chance to greet the summer with a bang via the Watsons Sun Up To Sun Down event held at the SM Mall of Asia on April 9.

Women were treated to a whole day of fun activities: wall climbing, surf machine, facials and henna tattoos were available but the highlights of the day were the fun workouts.

Chris Edward Panis of OneLife Studio jumpstarted the day with the Zen Sun Flow Yoga, which was followed by an energizing Zumba workout led by Jill Ngo - Crisologo. Next up was African Jam, where freelance dance and fitness instructor Marlette Besa showed the women how to get into the groove while effectively burning calories. Vikki Santos, the first Hot Hula certified instructor in the country, also showed women how to work on those sultry hip movements as a means to get fit.

Spotted at the event were celebrities Yasmien Kurdi, LJ Reyes, Frencheska Farr, Laureen Uy, and Stephanie Sol .

Not only did the women leave with calories burned, won prizes such as Fujifilm Instax Minis, but they were also able to get freebies from the Watsons brands that would give them the confidence to enjoy the long hot days of summer. More importantly, the sun-worshipping Pinays are reminded of the importance of proper skin protection and that having fun during the summer need not mean sun-burnt skin.

The event was also made possible by the different Sun Care brands available in Watsons: Nivea, Belo, Vaseline, Banana Boat, Kojie San, Celeteque, Neutrogena, Ocean Potion, Hawaian Tropic, Sun Play, Dermplus, Ultra MD and Watsons own label.
