Most of us have a bone or two to pick with our bedroom, and Real Living's letter sender is no different. The young graduating nursing student has had the same bedroom for 20 years. "I have grown as a woman with a very hippie and glam personality, so it's time my little haven should complement my individuality," she writes in her letter.

When at home, the 21-year-old often takes refuge in her bedroom to study and relax. The plain, featureless rectangular room, though, had to undergo serious sprucing up before it could become the comforting sanctuary she wanted. Singapore-based interior designer Jean Paul de la Rosa took it upon himself to be the bedroom's long awaited fairy godmother.
