Is this the first national coloring book day? Won't be able to participate yet since sa Saturday pa lang ako bibili ng supplies eh pero can't wait to see their works.

No worries sis.. Re: Animorphia, for me hindi naman kasi doodles yung small details... Then yung malalaki na animals, i color it with oil pastels.. the yung maliliit na i use colored pencils and gel pens.

Then yung part nga lang na you have to draw doodles to complete some pages but i guess okay naman.. Doodle lang naman so carry na kahit ano na lang idraw ko dun. I will be buying .4 and .5 pens for re tracing and drawing rin. Hehe...

Ang galing naman ang daming pwedeng gamitin to color those books unlike nung bata pa tayo na madalas crayola lang xD I'm so not good in arts like painting pero feeling ko pagdating sa coloring kaya ko naman hehe. Since this is one of my pastimes when I was young. Nakakatuwa magbrowse online ng mga finished artworks

^^ Mindy, thanks for sharinng that. I joined the group. Buti meron. The 2 others i joined are US and UK groups so i can't ask about local availability of stuff. At least this group will have that info, hopefully.

Edit: i browsed the photos posted on the group. Nahiya ako bigla sa gawa ko. Ang gaganda ng gawa nila. Pambata level ang akin compared sa kanila! Hehe. But i got some info on where i can buy some stuff i'm looking for.

I just ordered marco raffine watercolor pencils from craft carrot. Sabi don sa isang group, these are way cheaper alternatives to prismas. They're on sale, P500 from P650 for a set of 24. I also got the marco metallic pencils.

Prismas are available at an art specialty store - Deovir art supplies - they have a branch sa megamall and sm north edsa - P3,000 for a set of 48.

Sis okay ba yung glitter pens? Btw curious rin ako with muji, aliw nga ako sa animorphia. I need to buy black pens for doodles and retracing kasi yung iba sobrang nipis ng lines so i have to re-draw it para di matabunan ng color.

Actually im torn if i should get the watercolor pencils, kasi if ever id rather use gel pens and markers talaga

I bought another 4 books dream cities, secret japan, typography coloring and birds and butterflies. Di ko na kinuha yung secret paris, di ko feel yung mga drawings haha...

Then i tried sharpies sa animorphia page ko, nagbleed sa kabila haiz. Anyways i tried naman patungan ng ibang color yung kabilang page, di naman obvious na... Then i bought glitten pens and sharpies neon and washable markers... Addict lang. Hoarding mode ako kanina eh

Sis clueless, I went back to the arts and craft shop this afternoon to check if they have prisma stocks. Unfortunately, they've only got the 12s and 40s! And guess what, there's a shortage na rin daw of Faber Castell from the manufacturer in Germany because of the colouring craze. But if I am really into it daw, I have to wait for the 132 colors prisma which costs around $200+ (that's 10k plus in peso) kasi worth the wait naman daw because of its rich texture. Kaya ayun I did not buy muna. I'll wait na lang talaga for the prisma to be restocked. I asked din if Faber is a good brand, ok rin naman daw but the prisma is better talaga. Sa sharpies sis, I couldn't find nung kagaya sayo They have new books din, pero back and forth sya. Forgot the title di ko binili kase mas mahal at $27 each.

Sis snow25, I heard the Color Me Calm is now at Big W. So I checked kanina but I didn't find any. Though my friend from Sydney got his from big w. I haven't been to dymocks eh. Sana this Friday I can go there.

I bought dong-a hexaplus fineliners today. P190+ for a set of 10 pero ewan bakit walang yellow sa set so i had to buy it separetely for P19.75.

Kaso parang di ako happy. Baka bumili pa din ako ng stabilo 88 na set of 30.

^ gah! Ang mahal ng prismas! Though i'm sure maganda yan, di ko yata maj-justify sa hubby ko ang purchase na yan. Haha. Will try the marco raffine pencils muna then siguro pag magaling na magaling na ako mag-blend ng colors, pagiisipan ko ulit. Hehe.

^^ grabe talaga mag bleed ang sharpies no? Pero gusto ko yung coverage nya. At medyo na-addict ata ako sa amoy. Haha.

I almost bought Sharpies today, but nagpigil ako (meron pa pala ako nun!!!! hahah!) I hope I won't regret not getting it kasi dito sa NBS lugar namin, those are hard to find. I was in UP Town when I saw the Sharpies sa NBS dun.

Sana ganun rin dito at umaapaw ang choices. My friend was not into coloring books, pero dahil dito, she bought one for herself to try....haha! Patay kang bata ka.

Omg omg!! Thanks sis mindy for sharing!! I will go to dymocks bukas na bukas hahaha!!! Hindi pa patok dito ang coloring so wala akong kaagaw for sure haha! Sis clueless check mindy's link. Yung animal kingdom yun yung tinutukoy ko. Maganda sya.pero di ppwede sharpies kasi back n forth.

^sis belle_v2g, ah talaga di ko napansin. I went to BigW kanina, ang dami nilang faber-castell pencils and meron derwent. Nagmamadali ako kaya di ko natingnan maigi yung mga books available. Check ko sa weekend. Thanks for the tip.
Naghahanap kasi ako blending pencil kanina.

Naabutan ko pa yung last na prismacolor set early this week sa Riots Arts sa QV. I got the 150pcs set. I find it really good especially magblending. Pero kapag corners or edges, I use yung faber-castell. Ang bagal ko nga lang magcolor kaya di pa ako buy ng ibang books. Angus and robertson online marami din silang colouring books. Wala na kasi silang store, online na lang. Oh btw sis, meron din small store along elizabeth st near Michael's. Dun nabili ng friend ko yung secret garden na book.

Mga sis, yung isang friend ko gusto daw nya yung medyo malalaki yung drawings hindi small details na colouring book. Ano recommend nyo? Gusto daw nya kasi muna i-try.

Checked out the fb page shared by sis Mindy kanina at ang gaganda nung mga finished artworks nila. Nakakaintimate pero at at the same time mas nakakaengganyo itry yung craze na to.

Mga sis ano yung coloring material na hindi nagbbleed? Para yun na agad yung bilhin ko sa Saturday. TIA!

So far gel pens, washable markers (faber castell and crayola) di nagbleed. Dont buy sharpies, nagbleed sa akin...

Miss Taken, para sure di mag bleed, use colored pencils.

Pero depende din kasi talaga sa quality ng paper sa book. And how heavy your hand is.

Pero ang sharpies sa tingin ko kahit saan magb-bleed.

So, just because i couldn't wait haha, i went to Dymocks today and tama si sis mindy, superrrrrr daming adult colouring books i stayed for like 30 minutes browsing which one i should get. I dont like the complicated ones muna so i bought Colour Me Calm and The Mindfulness Colouring Book by Emma Farrarons. The mindfulness is a small pocketbook size which you can bring when you travel. And since these books are 1 picture per page so i dropped by officeworks and got myself a set of 30 ng Faber Castell Coloring Connector Pens.
