It always warms our heart when Filipinos make waves in other countries. One particular Pinoy doing so with ease? Rafe Totengco, the designer behind the Rafe New York line of bags. So when we found out that the man himself was in Manila to showcase his latest offerings, we took it upon ourselves to check out the collection up close.

Naturally, we were not the only excited ones. Manila's most stylish set descended upon Rustan's Makati (where, along with Rustan's Shangri-la Plaza, the pieces are available) to laud Rafe on his homecoming. These ladies' preferred accessory of the night? A beautiful Rafe bag, of course.
