Staring at the same pieces each time you open your closet can bore you. But sometimes, you don't need to buy new clothes to update your wardrobe. The plain white button-down shirt you reach for time and time again, for instance, can feel brand new with the addition of a third piece: jewelry. 

One simple styling trick you can do is to leave a few buttons of your shirt open and accent your low neckline with two or three layered necklaces in various lengths. 

You can stack thin, minimalist chains together if you want to keep things classy, but as Heart Evangelista previously shared at the launch of her newest jewelry line, it doesn't really matter how big or small the strands of the pendants are. "As long as the chains fall at different lengths, they’d look really good," Heart said. "I personally love to layer two or three at a time."
