Yam Concepcion is set to make a TV comeback via the upcoming ABS-CBN teleserye Love Thy Woman.
Kim Chiu and Xian Lim top-bill this Kapamilya series about modern Filipino-Chinese families. In this show, Yam is cast as the wife of Xian's character. Their marriage is tested because of her half-sister played by Kim.
Yam was last seen in the 2018 teleserye Halik where she played an adulterous wife named Jade.
"Dito naman medyo bida-kontrabida siya. Joke! Ayoko naman pangunahan. Kasi di pa naman natin alam kung ano mangyayari doon sa story," Yam was quoted as saying in an interview with PUSH.
According to Yam, she tried to learn about the high society world by watching YouTube videos of Heart Evangelista.
"Yung preparations ko? [Noong] nalaman ko nang nabigay sa akin yung role, nanood ako ng mga vlogs ni Heart kasi siya yung kind of peg ko," said the Kapamilya actress.
"Kasi, di ba, yung role ko dito mayaman, sosyal, bratty. Well, si Heart hindi naman bratty. Pero tinitingnan ko yung mga nuances niya, like how she talks, ganun."
Heart started her career in ABS-CBN in 2000 before transferring to GMA-7 in 2008.
ABS-CBN is set to air Love Thy Woman in early 2020.
