Vina Morales says she can understand the plight of celebrities Ai-Ai delas Alas, Claudine Barretto, and Sunshine Cruz, who have all accused their husbands of violating Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004.

"Naku, kasama ako diyan (Oh, I belong there!)!" the singer-actress was quoted as saying about the so-called “9262 Club” in an article on PEP.ph. She is referring to her legal battle against businessman Cedric Lee, the father of her four-year-old daughter, Ceana.

"Pagdating diyan, lahat gagawin mo para sa anak mo—what's best for her," she said, adding that she would rather keep mum about the topic for the sake of her child. "Kung may gulo man, huwag nang palakihin pa 'yung gulo para maayos nang mabuti at mabilis (When it comes to that, you’ll do everything for your child—what’s best for her. If there’s an issue, it’s best to not aggravate the situation so it can be fixed quickly and properly.)."

She also stated that she considers her status as a single mother as a blessing.

"Siguro mako-consider na failure ang pagiging single mom, pero suwerte 'yun kasi nagkaroon ako ng anak, isang buhay na ibinigay sa akin ng Diyos,” she said. "I guess, I take it in a different way, mas positive... Maraming single moms kaya! Saka proud ako (Maybe being a single mom could be considered a failure, but I feel lucky because I have a child, and God entrusted me with someone’s life. I guess, I take it in a different, more positive way… Besides, there are many single moms! And I’m proud to be one!)!"

However, she refused to disclose the details about the case she filed against her child’s father.

"Ay, huwag nang detalye. Basta ako, member," she said. "Hindi ako magde-detail, pasensiya na po (I won’t give details. But I’m a member. I won’t delve into details, I’m sorry.)."
