A video of DJ Mo Twister, Mohan Gumatay in real life, confessing that he and actress Rhian Ramos were in Singapore to allegedly "get rid of our baby" in July 2010 was posted on YouTube on November 28, PEP.ph reports. As of press time, the video has 454,433 views.
In the aftermath of the leakage, network GMA-7, which Mo implicated to have had a hand in their decision, said they would file a case against him for "malicious and false imputations against the network."
Actress Rhian Ramos's camp also said they would be filing charges against Mo for defying the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004. Atty. Kapunan, Rhian's laywer, said they will be asking for a temporary protection order against Mo to prevent him from issuing any more statements about Rhian. "The court will determine if it will issue a permanent protection order. This is not normal behavior; it is dysfunctional behavior."
In a report aired on news show 24 Oras on December 5, a teary-eyed Rhian said, "I think more than what the people [have] seen, I have been hurt over a longer period of time, unnecessarily, and I think, undeserved. I just hope to be able to put an end to that today so that hopefully I can move on."
Meanwhile, Mo issued a statement on radio show Showbiz Rampa on December 4. In it, he apologized to GMA-7 "for putting them in a bad light." He added, "This decision to have an abortion was not something the network instructed us to do. I understand that and I am sorry if the words on my 'video diary' depicted otherwise."
He also mentioned that before he'd sold his computer, his video files had already been deleted when he and Rhian broke up months ago. Without naming any names, he said in the statement, "They thought a lawyer was needed to aid in our breakup, that I was asked to surrender all of this 'proof' (as they called it) to them for it to be destroyed." His files were allegedly erased in front of him and the process was "documented by her legal staff."
Mo previously admitted in a Tweet on December 2, now deleted, that he has been "getting professional help to cope with the loss" and will be working hard to heal abroad.
