Raymart Santiago and estranged wife Claudine Barretto may not have been in the news much lately, but that doesn’t mean that all is well. A source who is familiar with both camps tells PEP.ph that while the temporary restraining order (TPO) Claudine asked for has now been lifted as far as the kids Sabina and Santino are concerned, Raymart’s visits have reportedly been mostly in vain.
He was reportedly allowed to see the kids twice over the holidays, but Claudine allegedly made those visits difficult. His third visit, which was scheduled to be held at the Makati Regional Trial Court earlier in the year, was also not successful because Claudine was apparently in the room the whole time and the children only kept looking at her.
In an interview with Sun Star Manila, the Kapuso actor expressed his desire to spend more time with his children.
“Gusto kong mangyari ay makita 'yung mga anak ko, magkaayos kahit papaano (What I want to happen is to see my kids and somehow mend our relationship.).”
“Makasama nang mas matagal, dahil kahit papaano, Tatay pa rin nila ako (I want to spend a long time with them because however you look at it, I’m still their father.).”
“Kung anong problema naming mag-asawa, labas na sila (Whatever marital problems we have shouldn’t involve them.).”
Mrs. Inday Barretto, however, claims that the kids don’t want to see their father.
“Takbo mga bata, 'Where's my mom?' O binalik na naman ang mga kids back and forth, back and forth (The kids ran back to their mom, and they kept asking for her. So they were shuttled back and forth)...”
Whether this is true or not, we hope that Raymart and Claudine find a way around their feud for the sake of their children.
