"We're seeing each other," President Noynoy Aquino said in an ambush interview done at the Philippine Information Agency's 25th anniversary celebration on February 1, ABS-CBNNews.com reports. Aquino was referring to Grace Lee, a Korean TV and radio personality recently linked to him in rumors. The president refused to divulge any more information, citing his constitutional right to privacy.

The news first began spreading after DJ Mo Twister posted a Tweet on his official Twitter account on January 26, which said, "We are talking about Grace Lee's date last night with President Aquino. #itsmorefuninthephilippines."

In an interview aired on GMA News's Balitanghali on January 27, Grace Lee warned the public against believing statements that she supposedly made about P-Noy in news articles. "I have the highest respect for the President, and I respect his privacy," she said. "I leave it up to him to speak on the matter."

P-Noy and Lee first met in Cebu, at the inauguration of a power plant owned by the Korean Electric Power Corporation on June 27, 2011. Lee was co-hosting the event. "Pati 'yung mga Korean na dumarating talagang gwapa lahat. Kailangan yatang buhayin ang Malacañang sa Sugbu (Even the Koreans who are here are beautiful. Maybe we should bring Malacañang to Sugbu)," P-Noy was quoted as saying in his speech.
