Pasig City Representative Roman Romulo told ABS-CBNNews.com that he and Valenzuela City Councilor Shalani Soledad have invited President Noynoy Aquino to their wedding on January 22. President Aquino is Soledad's ex-boyfriend.
"He is invited," Rep. Romulo is quoted as saying. "Although we understand that he is a very busy person kasi presidente siya, hopeful kami na makarating din siya. (Although we understand that he is a very busy person because he's the president, we hope he'll still be able to attend.)"
The couple has invited over 400 guests to celebrate their special day with them. The private ceremony will be held at the St. Benedict Church in Silang, Cavite. They are tentatively planning to have their honeymoon in Amanpulo, Palawan.
They were engaged in September 2011 after Rep. Romulo proposed at the Our Lady of Fatima Church.
