Before the secret Christian wedding of Matteo Guidicelli and Sarah Geronimo, there have been rumors that the couple would be tying the knot with a grand ceremony in Italy some time in March 2020. Moreover, it was said that the event would strictly be by invitation, and that it would only be for Matteo and Sarah's closest relatives and friends.
During the awarding ceremony and the formal acceptance of Matteo into the National Youth Commission as youth ambassador held on March 10, however, ABS-CBN News asked the actor whether or not the rumored wedding would push through.
According to Matteo, who is also a Philippine Army reservist, there have never been actual plans to get married in Italy, even before the effectivity of bans in the said country due to COVID-19.
Matteo and Sarah got married on February 20, 2020 at the Victory Church - Every Nation sa Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig City.
